Holy Trinity Church, Rothwell
Augmentation Project
For many years it has been the dream of the Rothwell ringers to augment the existing excellent ring of eight bells to ten. Now, thanks to many generous donations, the ring has been increased to ten by the addition of two, lighter, bells. This has created a fine peal of ten, and provides a much needed light ring of six, ideal for training the many young people who come forward to learn the art of Church Bellringing. Following a highly successful appeal alongside the Les Whiting bequest, we are now in the happy position to be able to announce the scheme is now complete. Here are some pictures which give a "potted" pictorial history of the progress of the project.

On the evening of Thursday July 26th, the new bells arrived at Rothwell having had their new headstocks fitted. They were duly unloaded, and transported into the church. They were hallowed during the morning service on Aug 5th. Hanging work started on Aug 28th. Our new ten were rung for the morning service on Sun, Sept 9th. Click here to follow progress.......
